• Be Prepared

    Happy Phriday!!!

"There is desirable treasure, And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it." For those of you that may not know that is the NKJV of Proverbs 21:20. Consider the multiple ways coronavirus is impacting societies spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially, how can the Word of God in Proverbs 21:20 help us? Be prepared.

From a financial perspective we have to be mindful that there will be down seasons. Times in which money, jobs, resources, the economy, etc. may be difficult to obtain. The solution to this is to be prepared and yield from spending everything we obtain from work. Have a cash emergency fund (E-fund) for situations such as downturns, layoffs, and financial hardships. A good emergency fund should be 3 to 6 months of your monthly expenses.

If you have not done that or were in the process of paying off debt and your E-fund is less than 3-6 months, there is still hope. See Stay the Course for some information on taking care of what's important in this economical downturn.

It's important to be prepared so you can obtain things you need in downturns such as food/water, shelter, transportation, and basic clothing. This can help with keeping stress, fear, and anxiety down during these times, which will give you a sound mind to make good decisions. So, please choose Faith over Fear for your Finances and Be Prepared!

    1. Appreciate the sobering word Nick. Becoming hyper focused in times like this is key. Understanding the plan for protecting and leading your household is key...And as always, I appreciate the spiritual component.
