• Biblical Finances Class - Giving Part 1

I had the opportunity to teach a course which I've titled: Biblical Finance Class - Giving Part 1. If the Lord says the same it will be a four part series with each part being a section of the class. If you have not seen it yet, please check out our previous blog on Tithing which touches on some of the points made in this class. In part 1 we are going through some introductory statistics about tithing which are pretty interesting. According to nonprofitsource.com:

    • Tithers made up 10%-25% of congregations in 2018
    • On average Christians gave about 2.5% of their income to churches in 2018
    • During the Great Depression Christians gave about 3.3% of their income to churches
Sometimes we may know what to do but the difficult part can be to do it, why is that? Being generous is a very important aspect of handling finances. We'll dive into that deeper as we go through Parts 2-4. Now, think about your feelings toward giving and/or tithing and if your are a believer, ask the Lord how they compare with what He wants you to do. This is something between you and Him! If you don't believe ask yourself what if anything is hindering you from generosity? Please enjoy the video below. Be blessed, Part 2 is planned for next week!
